Insulation values

Regarding the measures for insulation for the wall, roof and floor the specifications are found below.

In the Sustainability API the input regarding insulation concerns the qualitative indication of the insulation thickness (none, moderate, good, very good). This input is converted to input for the different methods.

With moderate insulation, the starting point is that the resulting Rc value at the energy label is conservative compared to the Rc value at the EI. This means that in a number of cases is chosen for "not post-insulated". A specific Rc value is used for the EI, BENG and consumption. This depends on the insulation thickness. We assume a certain insulation thickness, which depends on the year of construction. The lambda value of insulation is 0.045 W / mK (with the EI, BENG and consumption). The basic resistance (from the non-insulating layers) is 0.15 m 2 K/W for floors, 0.36 m 2 K/W for facades and 0.22 m2 K/W for roofs.

No insulation and moderate insulation is not possible with more recent years. In those cases it says ‘NA’ the table.

Rc with 'no insulation'

Values in Rc (m2 K/w)

Rc with 'mediocre insulation'

Values in Rc (m2 K/w)

Rc with 'good insulation'

Values in Rc (m2 K/w)

Rc with 'very good insulation'

Values in Rc (m2 K/w), thickness in cm

The Rc values at level "very good" are in accordance with the advice of Milieu Centraal.
